These are supported by regional offices in Europe, India, Japan, China and by worldwide headquarters in the US. Biography: Yves Juillet is currently Senior Advisor to LEEM (the Pharmaceutical Industry Association in France). He received his MD in 1975 from the University of Paris and is Board qualified in Cardiology, Intensive Care, Internal Medicine, and Pharmacology (MSc). He was Head of the Clinical Department at Broussais Hospital in Paris and Assistant in Pharmacology at the University of Paris.
Yves joined SNIP (now LEEM) in 1982 as Scientific Director, before becoming Deputy Director General in 1987. In 1991, he joined Roussel Uclaf in 1991 as Inspector General and became Director of Pharmaceutical and Public Affairs of Hoechst Marion Roussel in 1995. In 1999, he became Director of Public Affairs of Aventis Pharma.
Yves served as the Chairman of EFPIA Scientific Technical and Regulatory Policy Committee from 1991-2002. He was a member of the ICH Steering Committee from 1996 to 2006, where he represented the European Pharmaceutical Industry and was the Chair of the Global Cooperation Group (ICH – rest of the world). He has served as chairperson of the IFPMA (International Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations) Regulatory Policy Committee since 2004.
Yves has been involved in DIA activities since 1990. He chaired several tracks and sessions at Annual and European DIA meetings and gave numerous presentations dealing with regulatory, clinical and public policy issues. He was a member of the Annual Meeting Program Committee in 1994, 1998, and 1999, and of the Euromeeting Program Committee in 2000 and 2003-2006. He chaired the EuroMeeting Program Committee in 2004. In 1998, he received a DIA Outstanding Service Award. He was a member of the DIA Board of Directors from 2002 to 2008 and is currently a member of the DIA Advisory Council for Europe. |
